Is that green paint in your hair, ma’am?

No sir, that’s Sea Sprite paint in my hair.

Here’s your other sneak peek, because I paint seriously quickly. Also, I’m nearly positive I found Patient Zero of the stinkbug epidemic. Like seriously. I took the lights off again and like a gazillion came out. I’m not even kidding you, I looked like this:

Anyway, the paint. It looks surprisingly good. Well, not surprisingly good to me, because I’m the one that picked out the color and I knew it would look good. It’s Sea Sprite, which is by Olympic, but I shop at Lowe’s because they are the closest store to us and I am super lazy (hello, title of the blog and all), so I had them mix it in their Ultra Reserve whatever paint that’s supposed to be the best of the best. And no, this is not a plug for them, because seriously, no one will pay me to write.

Do you have any idea how hard it is to paint a bathroom that is laid out like ours? We have 9 foot ceilings which is great unless you need a stepladder inside of what can only be described as the worst laid out Smart car ever. Oh lawd I’m tired, and I have paint in my hair AND I have to go meet the Oldest One’s teacher today, so that should be fun. How long before I can shower in that room? Because right now, I look a lot like Mama June with less clothes because also? There’s no air conditioning in the bathroom, because why put circulation in a room where people do disgusting things?

I finally took off the door and was so happy that I actually got angry that I hadn’t thought of it sooner. COME ON!!

So here’s a quick sneak peek at the color and how the lamp came out:

IMG_1157ESo the lamp doesn’t look bad and I LOVE the paint color. But don’t worry, I am So. Not. Done. I need to repaint the board and batten white. Or Mr. Clean it or something, but don’t look at that part!! The wall is pretty, isn’t it? As soon as I saw it, I was like “WHY DID I NOT DO THIS BEFORE?!”

Now I’m off the rest of the day, but there is no rest for the weary. I still have to shower & dress, meet the kid’s teachers, pack for the four of us, paint the board and batten, grocery shop, detail the car, and do like…five more loads of laundry. Oh, and clean the house, because THIS is what it looks like since I pulled everything out of the bathroom and the dining table is being used for Things We Are Taking On Vacation:

Why all these things? Because I am lazy, so when I have actual energy I have to….

Oh, and my partner is LAME. He is not help at all. I thought the whole point of getting a dog was so they could help you with your home improvements, but I have to say that Milo has NO interest in doing anything but this:

Bless his heart….
